Freedom to Live-Day 28 Friday

Hi folks taking the weekend off of journaling to go to Tampa to visit girlfriend with Lyme Disease.

Jessica has been in treatment for 3 1/2 years now and has RSD to deal with after years of antibiotic therapy.

My girlfriend Joanne has a birthday today!!!  A bunch of us are celebrating with a dinner at Miller’s Ale Haus and a movie, Proposal.  ENDED up being AWESOME on both counts!!!!

Snack: brownie at Starbucks, DANG it was good! Almonds!

Lunch:Peanut Butter sandwich, string cheese.

Dinner: Onions, mushrooms, Mahi Mahi Tuna. radishes, peach

Snack:jello, coke, strawberries, 1 glass wine.

Today was up and down…too many carbs made me sluggish. It was a two Verve day today!!!

OH YES…felt the SALT especially!  Ankle is tight where I broke it last year! 

Will have FUN today…see pics…but good choices with food! Card party tonight will be okay as I’ll have 1/2 of what I would have eaten.

American Lung Assoc did a seminar on eating and that was the BIG Ah Hah! “You can have anything you want, anytime you want, 1/2 only. With half you can have it all!”  Got my equations messed up yesterday on the brownies, eh!!

      Did Zumba at the YMCA today, excellent!!

Breakfast:  Coffee, Omega cookies, L.Vitamins

Snack: banana, grapes, raspberry tea-no sugar

Lunch: *Sweet Potato Pancakes, red bell pepper., cherries  Verve (needed it after the Zumba)

* Sweet Potato Pancakes (so good for you)

Grate 2 large sweet potatoes

Beat 4 eggs, stir into potatoes

2 TBL Corn meal (can use flour if want)

Sea Salt, Pepper

Spray Pam, or use olive oil in pan.

Drop Spoonfuls in pan, mush down. Doesn’t hold together like reg. potato pancakes but no problem….they flip okay.

Heat until brown and flip brown other side.

Enjoy….Great tasting and super nutritious!!!

Great hot or cold!

Lunch:Beans w/onions, and 2 Brownies, had to do it… there was a fundraiser for homeless kids on Marco Island and you know how that is!!!! Bill Cosby says it’s the perfect meal, like chocolate cake. All food categories are in it!!! I did it for BILL!!!

Snack: grapes, tea

Dinner: Tomatoes, Beans, Sweet Pot pancake, red wine.

Snack:Onion chips Yum Yum

Freedom-Slim & Trim Day 17 Monday

Yeph… this is the Colonoscopy DAY (hate to have to share this with you, BUTT (yes…silly pun intended there) it’s a must after age 50 to get checked and YIKES I’m 58!!  So go do it…!!! 

So that leaves us with what for breakfast???? 

Yes sir eeeeee….NOTHING!!!  I have to tell you I feel so terrific!  Little weak but light and great.

Breakfast: NO WATER!!!!!! NO NUT’N until after test. 

That means 12:30PM!!! …….BUTT…then along came JO…..Thanks to my “sista” Joanne (aka the BD gal-from Friday) she saved me and took me to the testing and then to LUNCH!!! Praise her for that!!!

Lunch:COFFEE…..Egg sandwich with provolone cheese on 8 grain bread from “Sweet Caroline’s Muffin Deli” on Immokalee Rd, Naples, Fl. You should try it, didn’t have the muffins but they L@@K grand!!

Snack: Verve…sure missed my vitamins today!!!! Yum Yum!!  Fiber bar, Jell-O.

Dinner: Tilapia fish dinner, sweet potatoes, rice.

Snack:just a little chocolate ice cream (to celebrate Jo’s BD, hee hee-Happy Birthday SiS)

I’m posting this early…as I know what I’m eating and love the light healthy feeling and will not spoil that!!!

Freedom from Dieting-Day 13-Thur

Thursdays breakfasts are usually the same….Networking meeting and IHOP Buffet.

What a great way to start the day…positive people, like minded, who’s purpose is to build business together with referrals!!!  Love that!

Breakfast: Eggs, 1/2 piece rye toast, banana, OJ L.Vitamins

Snack: Protein bar, apple

Lunch: Peanut butter sand. (can’t believe I actually like these more than when I was a kid.  Buy the Omega one…Smart Balance!

Snack: Licorice –can you believe it….covered in chocolate from Walgreens.  Yum Yum!

Dinner: Sardines sandwich, cherries, celery

I know it sounds weird, but I just love sardines. I buy them in hot sauce (no oil) or in water. It just gives me a pick me up feeling! Good for the body too!

Today is about traveling and eating on the run. people jumping We have a booth at the Florida Dietetic event in Naples and what a wonderful healthy group of new friends!  Tip…visit the other vendors and lunch can be on them!

Breakfast: Raisin Bran, banana, L.Vitamins

Snack: walnuts, flax cookie, end of the Verve from the bottom of the cans we were pouring!! Yum Yum, gave us the energy we needed to serve over a hundred people.

Lunch:Low Carb Muffins, nuts of several kinds. Cranberry Juice.

Snack:Chicken & yogurt

Dinner:Ham sandwich, guacamole & new chip made from veggies – RWGarcia Chip Company Organic Red Beet & Onion, Carrot-Tomato & Sesame- and delish~try some!

Lunch:Shrimp, guacamole, chips, broccoli slaw  (sounds like leftovers, eh!!-Yum Yum)

Snack:Blueberries, angel food cake at church-no devil’s food for me!

Dinner:Had a real treat at the Jones's going away party. Had chips dip cheese crackers, then corn, ham sandwiches, salad. What a treat!

Snack:Wonderful fruit and flan!!! (skipped the sugar)

Night night….and skipped the VINO too. Good girl, but I’m stuffed. Will eat lighter tomorrow.

Freedom from Dieting-Day 5

This journaling is so powerful. and we know that…but until you actually do it… a lot of calories can slip in that you forgot about in just a days time.  EXAMPLE: Yesterday I had to run out and said on the blog….updates to follow.  Knew I would remember the party (surprise celebration-see yesterday) and filled it in today and off the blog went!!  Then I just remembered….THE SWEET POTATO CHIPS….not a lot..and healthy ones…but none the less….CHIPS that I forgot to account for.  (see Lunch…put them in today’s so they are accounted for")

Those kind of things…are what slips by, often, when a person says “Oh I know what I eat, and it’s hardly anything.”  So Journal with me and let’s be FREE (of dieting)  The healthier way of life becomes a WAY of Life and then we don’t have to be so focused like we do now on the Journey to Think2BThin!!

Freedom from Dieting-Day 4

How’s freedom taste? Refreshing and light! :>)) Won’t be long til that double chin is GONE!

Join me in this journey of journaling to freedom in health!

Today we are without water. Our pipe broke yesterday afternoon and it’s being fixed this morning. I mention this because when you think you can’t have water that’s all you want!  So it’s off to the YMCA to have a shower/potty break for me. Speaking of potty breaks…I want to thank Sandi for telling me about these liquid vitamins as I am so regular now, and THAT’s a blessing.  Dieters often have issues in that category! So thanks!!!

Okay…here are the updates!!

Another great day and a few surprises along the way.

Lunch ended up including some almonds covered in chocolate.  Great celebration party of friend who had baby!  Felt great and ate a few and was satisfied. Kept on track.

Dinner: split a Cranberry chicken/nut/feta salad at “The Pub” with friends.  Glass wine.

Each day feels better than the last!

Those little bulges under my arms are slimming down and it’s easier to fasten my bra. 
There is a benefit if I ever heard of one!!  Ever try to snap that baby and have to do it backwards and then twirl it around your body!!
Enough is Enough!  It’s freedom time for US!

Breakfast: TLC Bar, coffee, banana, L.vitamins

Snack: almonds, nectarine

Lunch: Seafood sticks, cherries, walnuts

Snack:peanut butter 2 T, blueberries, tea

Dinner: Salad with crab, green pepper, tomato, juice

I can see now why folks say when you eat healthier foods you get full before you get fat!!!

Of course…..lots of water again!!!

Freedom to eat “normal” again…

Since today is about FREEDOM…let’s start tracking what is working for us to be free from dieting. Please share how you are achieving your desired weight too :)  Yesterday I did not eat in a way that made me feel good this morning…so I decided to start today on a “Freedom Game Plan” that I encourage others to join me in.

I’m not totally sure how to do this blog discussion for daily eating,  but here goes. (open to help on this)

Starting at a size 14 today I feel confident & great!

Breakfast: Banana, raisin bran, coffee, liquid vitamins

Walked~beach-sweat is sweet! Water-Water-Water

Snack: grapes in the pool!!

Lunch: Red beans & rice, mango, ice tea (unsweetened)

Dinner: Tuna on salad fixins, apple, green tea

4th Fireworks Snack: popcorn

(that will be enough for today…light and happy)

Weight and Loss-Another reason FAST is not better…

A Harvard School of Public Health Study found that women who ate fast food more than twice per week had an 86% increase risk of being overweight.

Okay it’s Day 3. I feel GREAT!  Feel light, happy, energized, satisfied!

What have I done different?  Not a lot…

  • Ate smaller portions.
  • Ate more often.
  • Ate more natural, like fruit, added extra veggies to spaghetti dinner, nuts before meal to satisfy appetite.
  • Started listening to the 12 minute mental yoga audio again. (Big clue here) It’s free ask me for it.
  • Thought happy light thoughts of success!!!

What have I noticed?  A lot…

  • Wanted less on plate, that heavy feeling of putting too much in your belly is tiring to begin with!
  • Love “Dark Chocolate Flax Cookies”, ate 2 instead of 6. Now that felt good and was natural, not deprived feeling. (Hint: can buy at Publix) The Vemma I drink has everything but Omega oils…so this is one way to fill that need and love every minute of it!

That’s it for today…we head off to Mexico on Day 5 and I KNOW I can keep my health goals without any struggle! I’m thrilled that Verve now comes in the handy energy shot size so I can carry it on the airplane!!! What a difference it makes in how satisfied, and energized, my body is.

Back on track..with 100 day challenge. Law of Attraction in action!

Wow! Did you ever get off track with your weight plans and then someone sent you an email or called you and all of a sudden your goals became crystal clear again? That just happened to me. 

I had been celebrating having family and friends in and next thing the pants started getting a-little snug! THEN..yesterday in my email was the “Go for No” monthly newsletter. They had a book being offered called, “The Women’s Millionaire Club”, and I had to have it! (I teach that concept in my networking business and it’s powerful… and it works!)  So you know how you click here and then there and then you’re lost in the internet reading…WELL, I hadn’t realized Richard, from the “Go for No” had done a 100 Day Challenge to lose weight last Oct.  I was so excited reading it that I grabbed my camera and was off to the scale to take my starting picture, just like he did. Richards story and accounting of his journey to his perfect weight was all I needed to keep me on track to my perfect weight too.  So if anyone is off track from their New Years Resolutions…join me and let’s achieve our perfect weights together!

So…
A way to motivate you to focus on health is to create a vision board for health.  Make a collage of pictures, affirmations, and things that represent health, vitality, and the way you want to look and feel.  Look at this vision board daily for inspiration.

Maybe it was the timing of the economy or the fact that she felt so terrific she had to share Vemma with everyone. Or, maybe she realized the opportunity for what it truly is...the opportunity of a lifetime! Elayna went to the Vemma Royale Las Vegas convention and came back on fire – and with pictures of elaynales copythe fabulous inspirational Les Brown, Success Edition Darren Hardy  and several fabulous doctors.

After hearing about doing Home Meetings & serving green grapes, Ruffle potato chips & chocolate chip cookies, Elayna said, "I can do that!" And...did she ever! Last week Elayna brought in several new personally sponsored people & is on fire. Her secret? The home meeting and the "I can do this" attitude. Way to go Elayna! Think 2B Healthy

Think about it…wouldn’t you agree that healthy people typically have a special glow to them. They are vibrant, have more energy, usually have jobs they enjoy doing, display greater focus, experience less stress, see the bright side of things, even in the current economic situation?

Look at the most successful people you know. “Success leaves clues”, per Jim Rohn. 

Watch how they eat, talk, take care of themselves. They know that “Thoughts Become Things”, as Bob Proctor would say. Yes, there is a connection between the body, mind, and spirit.

Serious about success?? Then work on staying fit.      Here are some tips.

Rest: Sleep is the way we recharge our batteries. A healthy balanced body gets into the deep regenerating sleep stage.

Exercise: You know how great you feel when you leave the gym or get back from a walk!  The little cells of your body are all alive and chatting to one another saying YES…Let’s do it again!Get your body Moving…it’s the best way to get oxygen rushing throughout your body, because your breathing deepens and that creates extra energy! 

Diet: Picture the dial on your washing machine as your ordering food or planning meals. How do you want your body to feel while working on the food? Choices are:

  • Gentle
  • Normal
  • HEAVY Duty, some have EXTRA Heavy Duty

GENTLE-Okay so you pick nice light healthy small portions.  Your body can work with little effort to digest and spread the good nutrition around your body. HUMMMMM….

NORMAL- Excellent…portions are enough to fill you up and still be totally satisfying. Your body is happy and your stomach is working at a nice pace, energy stays high and smooth. Swish Swish!!

HEAVY Duty – OH MY…you’re at your favorite restaurant, and the buns are the BEST and then the rich creamy salad starts you off, next the 12 oz steak jumps in your belly and those garlic mashed potatoes slide in.  OH yes…Death by Chocolate cake, you bet! (Duh-did they think how true it might be before they named it THAT?)  How do you feel?  Want to unbuckle your belt yet?? How many times have you felt like that?  NO MORE! Just imagine the way your stomach must work to break that food down, and our bodies are become old too soon, they are overloaded and drown in fat and carbs. No wonder our pancreas and liver are overworked and people are becoming type 2 diabetics at such a young age today. 

Everyone knows a meal like that won’t kill you, but a steady lifestyle of it will.  No wonder kids need energy drinks today, from the negative effects that fast food daily is placing on their bodies.  I thought it would be just baby-boomers that wanted extra energy!

Let’s talk energy drinks.  It’s epidemic the problem parents are having with their kids focus and health from so much sugary – caffeine filled drinks today.  Thank goodness there is a solution to that problem too.  I searched until I found Verve, and now I’m even achieving my Perfect Weight Goals while drinking it.

Visualize your way to “What Really Matters to YOU”!

It's a New Year, and a “New You” is about to unfold in all it's beauty.  What does THAT look like to you? Can you picture that wonderful feeling of having the world by the tail?  Enjoying all the blessings available to you.  Let's dream a little.  What really matters most to you?
